Paragon Software Systems (PSS) has launched its route optimisation software on the Geotab Marketplace, putting its telematics data on the map for fleet managers.
The PSS data and routes can now be viewed from Geotab’s telematics system.
Fellow staff– in the transport office, customer service or route planning – can alert customers about potential issues arise for their deliveries or adjust the schedule to avoid impacting customer deliveries.
William Salter, managing director of PSS, said: “The integration of two best-of-breed suppliers, Paragon and Geotab, enhances fleet operators’ ability to produce route plans that are accurate, efficient and achievable.
“Our first joint client is already unlocking the substantial cost savings available when fleet managers have real-time visibility of what is actually happening out on the road.”
Companies using Paragon’s route optimisation software could receive cost reduction.
By feeding Geotab vehicle data into Paragon, fleet operators can compare planned versus actual route performance in real time, gaining visibility of the entire fleet’s process throughout the day.
Geotab’s open platform and marketplace allows both small and large companies to automate its work by integrating vehicle data with their other data assets.
Geotab have 1.9 million connected vehicles across more than 119 countries, whilst Paragon is a leading provider of truck routing and scheduling software, with more than 4,700 systems at over 1,400 client sites in 61 countries worldwide.
Last year, John Lewis and Partners implemented Paragon’s Live Management software to improve its operational efficiency.
The software package will allow the retailer to share real-time delivery information across its network of stores to help them manage deliveries and stock replenishment.
