Enterprise Flex-E-Rent has opened its second new location in 12 months in Luton, with further openings planned for 2019.

After opening Norwich last summer, the new Luton branch takes the company’s commercial vehicle network to 24 dedicated centres.

The new site is located between the M1 and the A6 and within easy reach of the city centre, enabling Enterprise to be accessible to businesses with commercial transport requirements.

It will offer the full suite of commercial vehicles from more than 20 types of LCV, to accessible buses, tractor units and larger HGVs and refrigerated models, as well as a range of passenger cars.

There are more than 610 vehicles already located at the new depot, with the capacity to grow to over 1,500 units to support the needs of local businesses. Enterprise is also offering its vehicle fit-out services at the Luton branch for customers with more specific vehicle requirements.

Two new management and technical positions, including one graduate training role, have been created as a result of the new branch opening.

Enterprise Flex-E-Rent’s managing director Danny Glynn said: “Our business strategy is to be as near as possible to our customers so that we can provide the swift, seamless service that each business requires.

“We are seeing enormous growth in demand for commercial vehicles from businesses of all sizes in Bedfordshire, which is why we’ve invested in this new depot in Luton, as well as in a regional centre in Norwich last year.

“Increasing our depots means customers have more access points for ongoing service, maintenance and repair. They also suit on-the-spot requirements, if a van breaks down or is involved in an accident.

“As a result, customers can keep better control of fuel costs and reduce travel time to drop off and pick up vehicles. This helps to drive efficiencies and also enables businesses to better support their drivers and employees.”
