HW Martin deploys Trakm8 telematics in 400 vehicles to improve safety and cut costs

Trakm8 telematics

Public and private works contractor HW Martin has adopted Trakm8 Asset telematics to track and manage both its vehicles and plant equipment.

The Derbyshire-based group is deploying the technology across its fleet of commercial vehicles, cars, and heavy plant to improve safety, fuel economy and further enhance its working time management systems.

To date, Martin has fitted more than 400 tracking devices to company vehicles ranging from light vans through to heavy commercials and also heavy plant such as excavators. It also required the telematics solution to integrate with immobilisers for its plant.

Geoff Kearsley, of Martin, said: “Trakm8 Asset fulfils our criteria for a single, unified telematics system that enabled us to track and trace our vehicles and our plant equipment.

“We looked at several systems, but selected Trakm8 because of the account management and after-sales support that it provides."
