Sentinel Systems safety equipment installed on Dublin City Council vehicles

Dublin City Council

Sentinel Systems has been appointed to install vehicle safety camera and recording devices on to vehicles used by Dublin City Council.

The decision was made to enhance the safe operation of the authority's vehicles, which are used in Dublin city centre and other congested areas.

Walkers Vehicle Rentals, contractors and installers of Sentinel’s products to Dublin City Council vehicles, have used a variety of Sentinel’s safety products before.

The company's camera safety systems, which comprise side-scanning sensors and cameras installed along the near-side and front-step of the vehicle, were installed on two Dublin City Council MAN 32.440 Hyva Hookloaders.

In having the systems installed, the council helps to prevent accidents caused by large vehicles reversing or manoeuvring in confined spaces.
