Outdoor advertising company JCDecaux UK has ordered a significant volume of Renault Trafic and Master Panel Vans to help spread clients’ messages across the UK.

The vans will be used in the installation and maintenance of its nationwide bus-stop advertising systems, billboards and street furniture.

The order follows JCDecaux taking delivery of a batch of Trafics earlier this year. The Trafics and Masters replace existing Renault vehicles and also those from other manufacturers.

Gerald Hares, fleet manager at JCDecaux UK, said: “The Master and Trafic fit very well with our requirements, providing good whole life costs and payload for the size of the vehicle, as well as features that are useful to our operatives when they are out on the road.

“Driver feedback has also been positive, our technicians particularly like the comfortable seating and driving experience of our latest Renault vehicles.”

Renault van sales in the UK grew by more than 20% to 13,435 vehicles in the first half of 2016, significantly outpacing the van market that grew by 2.5%, according to figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.

LCV market share for the first half of 2016 stood at 7% – up one percentage point on the same period in 2015.
