TOM Vehicle Rental has been named for the second consecutive year in The Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250, a league table which ranks the biggest private mid-market growth companies in the UK.

The publication of the prestigious list marks another year of growth for the Scottish-headquartered hire company which owns its own Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle dealerships and Citroen car and van dealerships, rising from its previous ranking of 247 to 106 on the latest list.

Running for 12 years, the list has charted the progress and success of some of the country’s biggest and fastest-growing businesses.

This year saw the featured companies increase their combined sales by 14% to £58.1 billion and operating profits 26% to £4.9 billion.

TOM Vehicle Rental has contributed to the general picture of growth with a staff of 575 and sales in excess of £213 million.
