Scotland’s transport minister affirmed the close working relationship between the Scottish Government and the Freight Transport Association at a presentation in Dunblane.

Minister for transport and islands Derek Mackay spoke about the importance of working in partnership during his speech to FTA’s Transport Manager seminar, which was attended by more than 120 delegates from across Scotland.

Mackay covered air quality, urban access, infrastructure investment and skills development in his presentation – all key issues for FTA members that the Association has been working on with the Scottish Government.

Chris MacRae, FTA's head of policy in Scotland, said: "We are delighted that the minister took time to talk to our members about issues that are of concern to our industry in Scotland.

"The Scottish Government’s transport agenda is aligned to the priorities of FTA members in Scotland and our close working relationship is vital to ensure our members’ interests and concerns are voiced."
