Building, industrial and environmental services company Alltask has taken delivery of three Mercedes-Benz Citan Dualiners.

Their arrivals mean the Rochester-based firm has now purchased 15 of the vehicles within the last year.

All are extra-long 109 CDI Blueefficiency models with 90hp diesel engines, which offer up to 65.7mpg on the combined cycle, and CO2 emissions from 112 g/km.

Alltask began life as a scaffolding contractor and this remains a core speciality – the company designs and installs more than 40 scaffolding structures every day.

Over the past 20 years its co-owners, chairman Doug Shearer and chief executive Daniel Fincham, have built a business that also offers a host of additional, ‘turnkey’ services, including asbestos removal, thermal, cryogenic and acoustic insulation, industrial coatings, environmental remediation, renewable energies and shrink-wrap cladding.

The Citan Dualiner seats a driver and up to four passengers, and Alltask’s vans are used by scaffolding supervisors to attend site meetings, as well as for transporting scaffolders between jobs.

The company operates across a broad swathe of southern England and its vans will each typically cover 35,000 miles a year.
