MAN Truck supplies 25 vehicles to S H Pratt & Co

Kinship Logistics

Luton-based S H Pratt & Co is taking delivery of 25 TGX 26.440 XLX tractor units fitted with MAN Truck’s new efficient cruise.

Under the deal brokered with MAN Rental, the tractor units will be maintained by John Arnold Commercials on a three-year repair and maintenance agreement.

They will be operated under the Kinship Logistics banner.

Tony Hunter, head of logistics, said: “Efficiency is a major factor in our decision making.

"These vehicles will be running on a 24-hour double shift and will be covering 180,000km per annum. They are real workhorses.”

He added that the repair and maintanance contract with John Arnold Commercials also suited Kinship Logisitics’ needs.

“We don’t want downtime for our fleet as we are expanding,” said Hunter.

“The fact that John Arnold can offer us a 24-hour workshop and support is a huge bonus.

“The service we have had from them has been second to none and they are a family run firm, like ours, so they understand our needs.”
