Kwik Fit will be seeking to win new light commercial vehicle fleet business opportunities at the 2015 Commercial Vehicle Show, as it continues to increase its penetration of the vehicle servicing and MoT market.

The UK’s largest automotive repair company will be sharing its show stand with sister Itochu Corporation-owned Central Tyre, which has been supplying the commercial and agriculture industries for more than 50 years.

This year’s Commercial Vehicle Show, which is being held at the NEC Birmingham from April 14-16, will once again see Kwik Fit showing off its one-stop range of services to the light commercial vehicle sector.

In recent years Kwik Fit has invested significantly to cater for the requirements of light commercial vehicle operators.

Improvements have included: expanding its range of premium, mid and budget priced light commercial vehicle tyres in centres; introducing new specialist light commercial vehicle equipment in its more than 600 UK centres; ensuring that the vast majority of the centre network can accommodate light commercial vehicles, including the growing number of hi-roof, long wheel base models as well as car derived vehicles; the capability to undertake MoTs on Class 7 vans at an increasing number of centres; and delivering additional light commercial vehicle training to staff.

Central Tyre has 34 commercial and agricultural centres across the UK, as well as a 130-strong mobile fleet that can fit even the largest tractor tyres on site.

The company caters for any scale of commercial fleets operating all types of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to individual farm owners operating tractors, combine harvesters and other agricultural machinery.

Kwik Fit fleet director Peter Lambert said: “Kwik Fit is rapidly expanding its customer base in the light commercial vehicle market and that has revealed there is scope for business to be won at the larger end of the market.

“Kwik Fit specialises in delivering a broad range of services and products to light commercial vehicle fleets, but it is clear that those businesses that also operate larger vehicles require expert support.

“Kwik Fit and Central Tyre together can look after the entire requirements of all commercial vehicle fleets and by joining forces at the Commercial Vehicle Show, which is the shop window for commercial vehicle operators, we can exhibit our comprehensive range of services.”
