Northgate Vehicle Hire has announced that it is to upskill its employees by offering an NVQ course in customer service to existing employees and new staff who join the company.

The company will offer the nationally recognised qualification, which will take employees around 12 months to complete, at no cost.

Along with the level two in customer service, Northgate will also offer qualifications in business administration, centre operations, and a level three qualification in management.

Ian Dunn, head of learning and development at Northgate, said: “We are extremely proud of our training portfolio and it’s our colleagues that help Northgate maintain its position as the market leader.

“It doesn’t matter where you work within Northgate when you join the team; it could be in the office doing administration or working in vehicle maintenance, at the end of the day we all have customers and the key to delivering good customer service is having the ability and confidence to successfully deal with them on a number of levels.
