Volkswagen Van Centre opens in Milton Keynes

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has expanded its nationwide network of dedicated Van Centres with the opening of a new centre in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

It brings the number of dedicated Van Centres to 71 with 25 authorised service centres across the UK.

The Bleak Hall Van Centre in Milton Keynes has been opened by truck and van specialist Brian Currie, creating five new jobs with more expected later this year.

The new, purpose-built Van Centre is located on a 1.2 acre plot. The five vehicle showroom offers five workshop ramps and a VOSA accredited MOT testing area for class four, five and seven commercial vehicles.

Brian Currie is a family owned and run business which began 39 years ago in Newport Pagnell, as a small commercial vehicle workshop. The company now employs more than 150 people and operates nine truck and van dealerships across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.

Brian Currie, said: “We are continually monitoring the ever-changing demands of the truck and van industry to ensure we offer the very best service.

“Leading the team will be our new brand manager, John Collier, who has been in the commercial vehicles industry for 20 years. We have recruited a new experienced sales team and more roles are expected as we look to build the business.

“This is our first Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles site so we are delighted to be introducing the brand to our portfolio.  It will enable the business to enter new markets and provide a more comprehensive service for van operators in the area.”

Rose Butterworth, head of customer quality and network development at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, who officially opened the centre, said: “We are very proud to add this impressive new Van Centre to our nationwide network.  Brian Currie understands the specialist needs of commercial vehicles customers and fleet operators and we are pleased that we can now provide an exceptional service to our customers in the Milton Keynes area.”
