Commercial vehicle capability added to Epyx’s e-commerce platform

Commercial vehicle capability for both vans and trucks has been added to Epyx’s 1link Disposal Network e-commerce platform.

The product, long-established in the company car sector and used by many major fleets, is used to provide a high degree of control over the management of vehicle disposal.

David Goodyear, business development manager, explained that there had been an ongoing strategy at Epyx to enhance and expand its core e-commerce platforms for commercial vehicle use.

He said: “Around a year ago, we carried out major revisions to our 1link Service Network service and maintenance platform to allow its use for almost all kinds of commercial vehicles and plant, and the response from fleets and their customers has been positive.

“Therefore, it makes sense to modify 1link Disposal in a similar fashion, providing a complete cradle-to-grave e-commerce solution for commercial vehicle fleets operating vans and trucks.”

The 1link Disposal Network is used by major fleets to controlling the selling of defleet stock to traders and dealers through a wide variety of channels including online and auctions.

Goodyear added: “We have already been showing the new versions of the platform to potential customers and expect to be able our first new signings from commercial vehicle fleets very quickly.”
