Dundee City Council has added a further six Volkswagen Caddy C20 Trendline models to its fleet, bringing the total number to almost 50.

Used by the Council’s construction and plumbing maintenance teams, the new Caddy’s build quality and load capacity offers the council a dependable vehicle for its operations.

In addition to Volkswagen’s BlueMotion Technology, which helps the City Council’s Caddy fleet meet its stringent emissions targets, the vans have standard specification which includes: cruise control, rear parking sensors, and electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors.

Fraser Crichton, from Dundee City Council, said: "It is vitally important that we invest in the most cost-effective fleet we can. We rely on our fleet of vehicles every day and the Caddy delivers excellent durability and reliability, which ensures the wholelife cost is kept to a minimum.

"The Caddy also comes with a three-year warranty and strong aftersales support that includes a like-for-like replacement scheme. This additional support ensures that we are able to keep our maintenance teams on the road even if a problem should occur or when it comes to routine servicing."

"The Caddy is compact, offers a good payload capacity and works well in the city centre. All of which made it an easy decision to increase the Volkswagen offering in our fleet."
