Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is celebrating a record-breaking 2013 with
best-ever annual new vehicle registrations of 37,267 – up 19.4% from 31,207 in 2012.
It also increased its market share to a record high of 13.4% (up from 12.6% 2012), strengthening its number two position in the light commercial vehicles sector.
Every vehicle in the brand’s model range played its part in the success.
Transporter accounted for 16,269 registrations, compared with 13,976 in 2012 – up 16.4%.
The Caddy increased its registrations from 10,844 in 2012 to 13,286 in 2013 – a growth of 22.5%.
Crafter recorded 5,153 registrations, up 10.8% (4,650), while deliveries of the rugged Amarok increased by 47.3% (2,559) when compared with 2012 (1,737).
In addition, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles also registered 3,590 passenger carriers, taking total UK registrations to 40,857, up 17.2 % on 2012 (34,863), pushing the brand through the40,000 barrier for the first time in its history.
