Isuzu Truck recruited David Slatcher to join the Hatfield company in the position of network business manager.

Slatcherhas responsibility for helping develop new truck sales through currently eight Isuzu truck sales, service and parts dealers within ITUK’s ‘central’ region.

He is part of a team of three network business managers that includes Bob Docherty in the north of England and Scotland with Andy Williams in the south. This team plays a key role in the ongoing development of retail and regional fleet sales through the company’s national UK dealer network.

Slatcher has almost 40 years behind him in the commercial vehicle business having previously worked in both the Iveco and Mercedes-Benz dealer groups, in a variety of fleet sales and business development roles.

Before that, again within a large dealer group, David worked closely alongside the fleet sales department of DAF Trucks.

Keith Child, marketing director at ITUK said; "David is a welcome addition to our organisation and his vast experience and knowledge of the commercial vehicle industry will ensure that he plays a key role in the development of our dealer network.

"Over the years, sales through our dealers have continued to grow year-on-year but David’s thorough understanding of other manufacturers and general dealer behaviour will ensure that this growth will continue in the future."
