Auto Styling Truckman, the West Midlands-based vehicle accessory manufacturer, has completed a £375,000 investment in new production facilities.

The company, which is located in Brierley Hill, has more than doubled its manufacturing capacity and is increasing its workforce from 29 to 45 over the next year.

This investment in new facilities and manufacturing equipment has enabled the company to increase production of its hardtop units, which it builds for every major pick-up truck brand on the market.

The first hardtop units have been produced in the facility as part of a contract with pick-up truck manufacturer, Isuzu.

Located opposite Auto Styling Truckman’s existing facilities, the new units offer 15,000 sqft of manufacturing space and features the latest in production equipment and a £40,000 dust extraction booth.

The Donaldson ECB work station control booth has been designed to remove dust from Auto Styling Truckman’s hard top production area while also recirculating clean air back into the factory that has been through its filtration system.

In addition, the unit helps maintain a consistent ambient temperature within the factory, which provides a comfortable working environment for the company’s engineers and controls energy costs.

Mike Wheeler, managing director of Auto Styling Truckman, said: “We are really pleased to have been able to make this investment in our expanded facility and it will have a positive impact on our levels of manufacturing output.

“Demand for our products continues to grow from commercial customers and the general public, which has spurred the need to create increased manufacturing capacity.

“The economy appears to be picking up and we are noticing a positive reaction from our existing customer base, in addition to a number of new enquires.  This validates our decision to invest in our facilities, which can be the springboard to further growth.”
