Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is to supply Fife Council with a further order of 30 Crafter vans as part of its vehicle replacement programme.

The Crafter's loadspace, passenger capacity and towing ability were key features in securing the fleet order, which will be used by the Council's Parks and Countryside department as part of its ground maintenance fleet.

Andrew Salmond, fleet officer at Fife Council, said: ‘The capacity and reliability of the vehicles was instrumental in the procurement process.  We have a number of vehicles in use across the region and have always been pleased with the performance of the Crafter.'

Alastair Hemmings, national fleet manager at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: ‘We are delighted to have worked with Fife Council to meet its procurement criteria again, and to hear that it is so pleased with its Crafter fleet.'
