BT Fleet has completed a record-breaking year by winning an unprecedented sixth award in 2013, scooping the ‘Leadership Award’ at this year’s Energy Saving Trust Fleet Hero Awards.

As per the Energy Savings Trust’ awards criteria, the ‘Leadership award’ is presented to BT Fleet in recognition of their leadership of the industry, and demonstrating best practice in green fleet management to other organisations in the fleet industry and beyond.

BT Fleet received the Leadership Award at the 2013 award ceremony, which took place at the Institute of Directors (IoD) in London.

The high-profile ceremony was attended by Norman Baker MP as well as other notable business leaders and government representatives.

The Energy Saving Trust Fleet Hero Awards aim to identify public and private organisations that are successfully reducing fuel bills and lowering carbon footprints through better transport policies and improved fleet efficiency.

The Energy Saving Trust also recognises companies that supply cost and fuel saving products or services to fleets.

The Energy Savings Trust award completes a successful year of accolades won by BT Fleet.

In addition to the Energy Savings Trust Award, BT Fleet have also scooped ‘Supplier of The Year’ and ‘Fleet Management Company of The Year’ at the Fleet Van Awards; the ‘Best Use of Technology’ award from Transport Engineer magazine in recognition of BT Fleet’s innovation in engine remapping; Fleet News’ ‘Cost Saving Initiative of The Year’, once again in recognition of BT Fleet’s engine remapping solution; and ‘Van Fleet Management Company of The Year’ and ‘Supplier of The Year’ at the Fleet Van Awards.

Commenting on the Energy Savings Trust award for BT Fleet, Dave Bowen (pictured), managing director of BT Fleet said: “This award represents another significant endorsement of BT Fleet’s commitment to helping our customers reduce their fuel bills and reduce their carbon footprint and tops a fantastic year of award wins for BT Fleet.”
