Lewis Civil Engineering has appointed Pendragon Contracts as its preferred supplier of light commercial vehicles, attracted by its reduced end-of-term damage (RED) contract hire product.

The company selected Pendragon Contracts, as the RED product eliminates unwanted end-of-contract refurbishment costs.  This makes the total maintenance inclusive contract more transparent and cost effective over the four-year term.

Mark Henson, fleet manager at Lewis Civil Engineering said: "Pendragon Contracts made us aware of the advantages of its dedicated RED programme, which will ensure that at the end of the term we will not be hit by unforeseen and unwanted end-of-contract damage costs."

John Given, sales and marketing director for Pendragon Contracts, said: "As part of our annual market survey, we listened to the comments of several hard working fleets regarding end-of-term refurbishment costs.

"We then developed our RED Contract Hire with Maintenance product to enable fleet managers to remove expenditure in this area and deliver peace of mind at the end, as well as throughout the contract hire term."
