Nissan used the Commercial Vehicle Show to debut its new panel van the NV400, which will replace the aging Interstar.

The NV400 is a reworked Renault Master with a stylish front end and was created at Nissan Design Europe and engineered at Nissan Technical Centre Europe.

Chief designer Atsushi Maeda said: “NV400 will share all the practical aspects of the various versions of the range, but we wanted our adaptation to have a genuinely different look. The adoption of the Nissan angle strut grille – pioneered on models such as Pathfinder and Navara – certainly does that.”

The van is due to go on sale in the UK in October. Prices will be announced nearer the launch date.
