Shamit Gaiger leads AECOM’s Strategic Advisory in Transport. She has more than 20 years’ experience in developing national and sectoral policies and strategies for the UK in areas such as innovation, technology, sustainability, risk sharing, productivity, decision-taking, skills and leadership. She set up the Sustainable Rail Programme and was asked to conduct reviews of several industry policies. More recently, she led the negotiations of the Rail Sector Deal on behalf of the Government. Shamit is also a member of the Secretary of State for Transport’s Franchising Advisory Panel.
