Quartix was founded in 2001 by four industry professionals who had a combined 120+ years’ worth of experience in systems design, telemetry, embedded computing, communications and database design and implementation. Quartix has grown to become one of the UK's most respected vehicle tracking companies. With a network of over nearly 200 experienced engineers, the award-winning Quartix system is available throughout the UK.
More than 6,800 customers across a wide range of sectors currently use the online service, including government organisations, housing associations, construction firms, hospital trusts, the emergency services, and SMEs and large British brands. The company's unique, own-design tracking system has been installed in over 180,000 vehicles. Quartix has also established itself as a leading provider of telematics for the pay-as-you-drive insurance market in the UK.
The robust Quartix system is renowned for its ease of use, and offers a comprehensive list of features including live tracking and alerts, as well as comprehensive fleet management reporting. One of the system’s core features is the driving-style monitoring suite, which reduces fuel costs and improves the safety of the mobile workforce. This service, which typically enables Quartix customers to make fuel savings of between 15% and 20%, detects and reports on speeds, braking and acceleration.
Furthermore, the Quartix mobile app enables users to view the real-time location of their vehicles and access the core features of the system whilst on the move. The app is free to download and can be used by all Quartix customers. The app offers three key features:
Vehicle List - a summary of all the vehicles to which the user has access, and their present location.
Live - shows the latest location of a chosen vehicle in real time, as well as other vehicles in the area. The vehicle can be selected to be 'followed' by the app, and the map screen will automatically be updated.
Trip Data - shows the trips carried out on any day over the previous 6 months.
The app is available to download for free on the App Store, Google Play and Windows Phone Store.
