Ryder has provided four Ford Transit vans to commercial vehicle livery business Smart Graphics under contract hire.

The Glasgow-based outfit provides livery design services to a nationwide customer base of truck, van and bus operators.

Smart Graphics has opted for the 310 L3 H2 model, with long wheelbase and medium roof. The 3.5t Transit has a payload of 969kg, interior load length of 3,350mm and interior load height of 1,886mm.

The vans have been supplied by Ryder under a four-year contract hire agreement, and follows a previous deal for three Ford Transits. Smart Graphics has been a customer of Ryder for 12 years.

The 30-year-old design firm creates designs for transfers, and full and partial-vehicle wraps, which are delivered and fitted by its team of specialists.

"The vans will be used by our fitters to carry access equipment and tools to customer locations around the UK," said Smart Graphics managing director Keith Alexander.

"We work primarily at body and coach builders, where the designs are fitted to vehicles, although sometimes we will go to depots or visit the customer directly if there are specific requirements.

"We are pleased to have received the new Ford Transits. This is our fourth contract with Ryder and they have always provided an excellent service."

Robin White, Ryder sales and marketing director, said: "We are very pleased to continue our long-standing relationship with Smart Graphics. Our combination of pro-active maintenance and servicing means Smart Graphics can concentrate on its successful core business."
