Dawsonrentals vans has invested more than £20 million in new Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

The fleet acquisition, which consists of Citans, Sprinter Panel Vans and Sprinter Chassis Cabs, will be based at a number of the commercial vehicle provider’s regional depots.

The rental company said the investment in a substantial number of vans reflects a growing demand for mixed-use commercial vehicles nationwide. The company aims to suppurt customers operating across a broad range of industries with the new vans, which follows a long-standing relationship between the Mercedes-Benz and Dawsonrentals vans.

Gareth Jones, managing director of Dawsonrentals vans, said: “We are seeing an increased demand for versatile and adaptable vans from customers, due in part to the growing number of high scale road maintenance, transport and construction projects throughout the UK.

“For us, Mercedes-Benz provides customers with a selection of robust vans for their businesses. The products suit a broad range of requirements and don’t just support the urban van driver, but go beyond to aid fleet operators working on a range of different terrains. We’re looking forward to continuing our strong relationship with the brand.”
