DAF Dealer Lancashire DAF in Walton Summit, Preston, is bolstering its commitment to national fleet customers with a significant investment into a new Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) facility and a restructuring of its senior management team.

Recognised as one of the hubs for DAF Trucks’ fleet sales activities nationwide, Lancashire DAF’s new PDI workshop will provide even greater levels of service, and faster delivery times, for some of DAF’s largest UK fleet operators, it says.

The new PDI facility at Lancashire DAF includes five bays and a training centre, which will increase their PDI volumes whilst maintaining excellent service standards.

In addition, Lancashire DAF has announced the retirement of long-serving managing director, Colin Mahon. He is succeeded by Paul Entwistle, having been long-associated with the DAF brand since 1986.

Entwistle’s previous role as fleet sales director is occupied by newly-appointed Harvey King, who joins Lancashire DAF after previous experience of the DAF brand.

Mahon was a highly influential figurehead at Lancashire DAF, and a man well-known to many local operators. He retires after 15-years with the company.

“We have a nationwide fleet sales remit,” said new MD, Entwistle, “built-up over many years of providing a bespoke sales, service and parts offering for fleet customers.

“Our commitment to fleet customers starts in the workshop and our new PDI facility will enable us to take our duty-of-care for customers to the next level.”

Lancashire DAF also recently expanded its business with the opening of Lancashire Truck & Trailer – a new, dedicated ‘TRP shop’ facility on the Victory Trading Estate in Bolton.

TRP is DAF Trucks’ trailer and all-makes parts offering. Representing a £300,000 investment, the new 2,700 sq.ft Lancashire Truck & Trailer facility develops Lancashire DAF’s already impressive Parts business.
