The search for the very best in the commercial vehicle field begins this week with the launch of the 2016 Commercial Fleet Awards.

The best fleet operators, suppliers, van and truck manufacturers will be recognised in the prestigious event held at the Hilton Birmingham Metro hotel on November 30 which will include new categories to win for 2016.

Commercial Fleet editor Stephen Briers said: “The Commercial Fleet Awards are the ideal opportunity for fleet decision-makers to get recognition for excellent work, for companies to receive good PR and for the staff in the business to get a boost from knowing they are working for a company that cares.

“For suppliers, it’s a chance to show potential customers that they are the best in their field, while van- and truck-makers can point to the independent panel of leasing, residual value setters and fleet end-users as evidence of their model excellence.”

Eligible fleet operators can now visit the Commercial Fleet Awards website (awards.commercialfleet.org) to outline any outstanding achievement from the past 12 months that could give them a chance of winning.

Their entries will be considered by a panel of expert judges from across the industry, chaired by SMMT chief executive Christopher Macgowan with the judging process audited by Ernst & Young.

A total of 33 awards will be presented on the night, with six sought-after headline awards.

The black tie event will begin with a drinks reception, then a three-course dinner before the awards presentation, and finally rounded off with a top entertainer, live music and dancing.
