Carnation Designs, supplier of power management and equipment control systems for the special purpose vehicle market, has been acquired by Ring Automotive, the lighting and auto electrical supplier to the aftermarket and vehicle conversion sector.

The agreement, which will see Ring acquire the trade and specified assets of Carnation Designs, will allow both organisations to pool their resources and skills to develop their business.

Carnation Designs will benefit from access to increased investment and support in new product development, while for Ring the step will reinforce its authority within vehicle conversion.

Richard Yates, business development manager from Carnation Designs, said: “We have created a brand that is not only well known and relied upon by emergency services throughout the UK, but also has the respect and credibility as a market leading product.

"We have come to a point in time where we know we need to take the next-step in our journey and for that we require investment and vision for the future.”

Richard Morley, business unit director – trade at Ring, added: “We want to work together to strengthen both organisations and the opportunities that we have in the vehicle conversion sector.”
