Alejandro Noriega has been given responsibility for developing fleet business and sales of Fiat Professional vehicles in the UK after being appointed country manager.

He has been with the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles group for 18 years and has spent 11 of those working specifically with the Fiat Professional brand.

Noriega was most recently managing director of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in the Netherlands.

Before that he was based in Turin, Italy, with the Fiat Professional minor business centres/corporate fleet and tenders, and he has held several other important roles within FCA passenger cars and commercial vehicles in Italy, Spain and Argentina.

He said: “I am very much looking forward to this new challenge. Fiat Professional is one of the major players within the commercial vehicle community in the UK and I am excited about its future.

"The company is clearly evolving and I look forward to growing our market share in the industry, helped by our current line-up, in the coming months and years.”

His predecessor, Ricky McFarland, who was appointed last September, has left the business.
