Coventry-based logistics software specialist TruTac has been accepted as an approved associate of FORS - the UK Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme.
FORS, established by Transport for London in 2008, is an industry-led accreditation scheme which encompasses all aspects of safety, fuel efficiency, vehicle emissions and improved operations in the HGV, PSV and LGV commercial sectors.
Associates of the scheme are suppliers who provide an exclusive offer or discount on products and services aligned to the requirements of the FORS standard, the cornerstone of which is to promote safety and efficiency through the implementation and sharing of best practice.
“The accreditation process consists of a rigorous audit which tests a fleet’s processes, documentation and systems.” said Jemma James, commercial director at TruTac.
“We decided to seek FORS-approved associate status as many of TruTac’s customers are already FORS members and we wanted to align TruTac with the same, high FORS standards to which they operate.”
