Specialist vehicle manufacturer Aldercote has appointed APS as the UK distributor for its new product range to drive growth in the van-mounted boom lift sector.

The partnership enables the powered access equipment distributor to expand into the van mount sector, building on its recent success with the Isoli brand of booms mounted on light chassis cabs.

It also allows Aldercote to focus on product design and manufacture, as well as development of export markets for its powered access range.

David Dillon, director of Aldercote, said: “We invested heavily in the design engineering of our new boom lifts, so we naturally wanted the best possible sales and support partner to ensure their success.

“With these new products and the appointment of APS as our UK distributor, we are confident we can once become a leading supplier to the utility and equipment rental sectors.”

APS is investing in new workshop facilities and personnel at group headquarters in Telford, Shropshire, where it will fit Aldercote boom kits to vans including the Ford Transit and Iveco Daily.

The company’s six field sales personnel will work across the UK to develop the Aldercote brand as a serious alternative to the current market leaders.

APS will formally launch the new range in October 2015.
