Imperial Commercials Derby has strengthened its relationship with ATL Warehousing and Distribution after securing a new commercial vehicle fleet deal.

Imperial Commercials Derby has supplied trucks to the national logistics company for more than 15 years, and its latest alliance introduces Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle Crafter vans to its fleet.

ATL provides bespoke logistic solutions for global, national and regional brands across the UK, operating from its headquarters in Foston and northern depot in Carlisle.

The new Crafter fleet provides an integral rapid response service and it was Imperial’s superb customer service that sealed the deal as Pete Ascott, managing director of ATL, explained.

He said: “Having worked with the Imperial Commercial’s team for many years we have built a strong relationship based on trust.

“They have a clear understanding of what vehicles I need and nothing is too much trouble for them.

“I needed to replace my large panel van fleet so didn’t hesitate when Imperial suggested I tried the Crafter.

“It’s a heavy mileage fleet so I needed a reliable van, which I feel you get from the Volkswagen brand.

“But I have also been delighted with the positive feedback from my drivers. These men are vital to my business, and when you are on the road all day, comfort and reliability is essential.”

Mat Komorowski, fleet sales manager at Imperial Commercial Derby, added: “Our business might be selling vans but we also see ourselves as building partnerships.

“We knew the performance and specification of the Crafter would be a perfect match for ATL so are very pleased that Pete and his team feel the same.”
