The Commercial Fleet Summit and Exhibition, followed by the Commercial Fleet Awards, have now been launched for 2015.

Rebranded from the Fleet Van Summit and Awards, the event will return to the Telford International Centre on the September 24.

The Commercial Fleet Summit and Exhibition, in partnership with the Freight Transport Association (FTA), is moving into bigger exhibition halls to create more space following last year’s sell out event.

Recognised as one of the industry's leading events, Britain's van and truck fleet operators will come together to hone their skills and learn to run their operations more safely and cost-effectively. In addition to a line-up of top speakers, delegates will get the chance to pose questions and listen to real-life case studies as well as share best practice.

The annual Awards hosted by Commercial Fleet are the benchmark awards for the light commercial vehicle industry, with trophies up for grabs for LCV manufacturers, fleet operators and supplier companies.

And this year, the Awards are being expanded to include new truck categories, new judges and an independent awards chairman, former SMMT chief executive, Christopher Macgowan.

Stephen Briers, Commercial Fleet editor in chief said: “Winning is not easy. The Commercial Fleet Awards represent the pinnacle of fleet success and honour excellence, innovation and quality.

“The new Commercial Fleet Awards are bigger and better than the Fleet Van Awards they replace and I hope that even more people from the van and truck sector will join us to celebrate industry success.’’

New categories added to this year’s Commercial Fleet Awards include:

  • Truck of the year – up to 7.5 tonnes
  • Truck of the year – up to 18 tonnes
  • Truck of the year – up to 26 tonnes
  • Home delivery commercial fleet of the year
  • Best commercial fleet livery of the year
  • Most improved commercial fleet of the year
  • Truck fleet manufacturer of the year
