Raven Housing Trust has selected Automotive Leasing, the public sector division of LeasePlan, to provide its commercial vehicles.

Following an extensive procurement process, Automotive Leasing were chosen after emerging as the leading contenders for both price and quality. The tender’s success was also underpinned by the fact that Automotive Leasing are the first ranked supplier on Procurement for Housing’s prestigious framework agreement.

The four year contract began with the delivery of 57 diesel Mercedes commercial vehicles, ranging from Citans, Vitos and Sprinters, which will be used by the housing and maintenance teams that look after the Raven Housing Trust properties.

Peter Roach, of Raven Housing Trust, conducted extensive research into whole life vehicle costs and chose Mercedes-Benz based on these studies.

As well as being responsible for the vehicles, Automotive Leasing will also provide Shell fuel cards, accident management and a comprehensive daily rental offering.

Tim Meadows, brand director at Automotive Leasing, said: “We’re delighted to provide these key vehicles to Raven Housing Trust and are confident that the after care partnership with Mercedes Benz will ensure the Raven Housing Trust commercial fleet runs as effectively and efficiently as possible.

“The team worked extremely hard to negotiate the deal and this triumph is a testament to the power of a successful partnership.”

Peter Roach, Raven Housing Trust, said: “It was clear from the start of the tendering process that Automotive Leasing really understood the fleet needs of our organisation. Fuel efficiency is a key concern for us and the team were willing to go the extra mile to ensure the low emission Mercedes vehicles were delivered at a competitive price.

“We are excited to work with the Automotive Leasing team and we are confident that their leasing expertise will successfully guide our commercial fleet through the next five years.”
