Scotland’s oil and gas capital is to see its third Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch open this month.

Five new jobs will be created at the branch on Girdleness Road in South Aberdeen, and the firm will also recruit up to three graduates for its management trainee programme.

The expansion is a result of increasing demand for rental services in Aberdeen from corporate, local customers and tourists. The new branch will be ideally placed for the Tullos and Altens industrial estates and is 250 metres from Wellington Road, the main arterial route from Aberdeen city centre and harbour.

The new site adds to Enterprise’s growing network of more than 370 locations throughout the UK.

The new location is part of a wider network of over 20 branches in major towns and cities across Scotland. It will provide local businesses and residents with access to Enterprise’s extensive fleet of cars and light commercial vehicles, as well as the company’s Pick Up service, discounted weekend rates, one-way rentals and people carrier hire.

Jennifer Paul, area manager for Aberdeen, said: “It’s great that Enterprise is performing strongly in Aberdeen – this reflects the city’s growing business opportunities and its increasing job prospects.

“Our new branch is in a great location to serve the business hubs of Altens, East Tullos and Badnetoy. It also means we are that much closer to our customers in the Aberdeen’s commuter belt.

“We look forward to welcoming people to our new location, and hiring for our new management trainee positions.”
